FANANO

The town is largely included in the Regional Park of the High Modenese Apennines, at an altitude ranging from 640 m (Fanano center) to 2165 m in height. Orange flag of the Italian Touring Club since 2001, Fanano rises in an almost uncontaminated territory of great beauty and naturalistic value.

Fanano is in fact part of the Monte Cimone ski area which offers the largest ski carousel in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, with 50 km of slopes all connected to each other, accessible with a single electronic ski pass and served by modern and fast lifts. Along the three sides of the mountain there are tracks for all tastes: long and wide, with challenging slopes and over 600 meters of altitude difference for expert skiers; shorter and easier slopes for those who love skiing in complete relaxation.
